Every single evening As I'm lying here in bed, This tiny little Prayer Keeps running through my head: God bless all my family Wherever they may be, Keep them warm And safe from harm For they're so close to me.. And God, there is one more thing I wish that you could do; Hope you don't mind me asking, Please bless my computer too. Now I know that it's unusual To bless a motherboard, But listen just a second While I explain it to you, Lord... You see, that little metal box Holds more than odds and ends; Inside those small compartments Rest so many of my friends. I know so much about them By the kindness that they give, And this little scrap of metal Takes me in to where they live. By faith is how I know them Much the same as you. We share in what life brings us And from that our friendships grew... Please take an extra minute From your duties up above, To bless those in my address book That's filled with so much love. Wherever else this prayer ...

The Mayonnaise Jar

Image
When things in your life seem, almost too much to handle... When 24 Hours in a day is not enough... Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee. A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students, if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar.. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.' The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents int...

50 Little Health Tips Every Woman Should Know

1-3 Three ways to get the most out of your doctor visit 1. Know what you want out of your next M.D. visit: a diagnosis, a referral to a specialist? Keep your focus and you’ll be more likely to get what you need. 2. Don’t be scared or embarrassed to talk to your doctor—about anything. Of course my patients are reluctant to bring up complaints about things like butt pimples, excessive sweating and body odor, but unless you speak up, you’ll only continue to suffer. 3. Tell your doctor about any supplements you take. Some can have dangerous interactions with prescription drugs.      4-5 Two health reasons to have sex 4. Schedule weekly orgasms; I call it getting your ‘vitamin O.’ Orgasms release hormones that boost emotional well-being and your immune system—and may even prolong life. If you don’t have a partner, for health’s sake, get a toy! 5. Few things in life are fun, free and healthy, but sex is one of them. Do it! ...

Food that Can Fix (Almost) Anything

Image
by Glamour Magazine / Shine (Yahoo) When Hippocrates wrote, “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food,” he was probably worrying about the pesky plague epidemic of 430 BC—not thinking about how a handful of almonds might ward off a girl’s pre-period headaches or how green tea might give her thicker, lusher hair. But those things may in fact be true, and scientists are beginning to figure out how food helps the body run smoothly inside and out. “People absolutely underestimate the importance of nutrition when it comes to appearance,” says Michael Roizen, M.D., chief of the Cleveland Clinic’s Wellness Center and coauthor of YOU: Being Beautiful. The prescription is simple—and mercifully easy to swallow. Read on, dig in, repeat as necessary. ---o0o---  For: Little Age Lines, Try: GRAPES What’s so special about antioxidants like the vitamin C found in grapes? The Irreplaceable Void

4 years ago, an accident took my beloved away and very often I wonder, how does my wife, who is now in the heavenly realm, feel right now? She must be feeling extremely sad for leaving a husband who is incapable to taking care of the house and the kid. 'cos that is the exact feeling that I have, as I feel that I have failed to provide for the physical and emotional needs of my child, and failed to be the dad and mum for my child. There was one particular day, when I had an emergency at work. Hence, I had to leave home whilst my child was still sleeping. So thinking that there was still rice leftovers, I hastily cooked an egg and left after informing my sleepy child. With the double roles, I am often exhausted at work as well as when I am home. So after a long day, I came home, totally drained of all energy. So with just a brief hug and kiss for my child, I went straight into the room, skipping dinner. However, when I jumped into my bed with intention of just having a well-deserve...

Choosing to Change

by Joyce Meyer How serious are you about wanting change in your life? A lot of us want our lives to change…but we’re not willing to do our part. If you really want things to change in your life—and experience the fullness of the life Jesus died to give you—here are some things that you need to do. Spend Time with God First, examine your priorities and see what needs to change. You can’t think spending 45 minutes or an hour in church on Sunday mornings is all you need to live in victory. Since the devil is alive and well every day, then you need a daily walk with God. The wonderful thing is, there’s no formula. You can just be with Him. Pray, laugh, cry, talk or sit still and not open your mouth. It’s that easy. Stand Up on the Inside Next, you need to get serious about changing your life. Every one of us has an outer life and an inner life. Many of us want our outside circumstance to change while we stay depressed on the inside. But before you can get up on the outside, ...
