Optical Illusions

Say the color of the words below; try to do it as fast as you can.

You are likely to see that the top row of circles appear as "bumps" followed by "holes" and so on in an alternating pattern. 

Can you try and see the opposite? Have a good hard look and try to see the first row as holes and the second as bumps. Difficult?

Now hide the bottom row of circles from your field of vision (either with your hand, or scrolling your browser window appropriatly). Is it easier to see the first row as holes now?

Look at the center of the above image, while moving your head closer and farther away from your monitor.

Simple concept, but crazy effect on the eyes.

Stare at it for a while, then turn your gaze to a wall or your hand.

Stare at the black dot above.

The surrounding haze will dissapear.

The area near the center of the above illusion appears lighter than the surrounding area.

Vertical and Horizontal Lines appear, though they are only an illusion.

Classic Illusion. The dots are all white, but appear to change color.
