Enjoy Life!
An expert wood carver sat on his front porch, sipping lemonade and enjoying the view one spring afternoon. Around him on the porch sat his various creations. A friend of the carver's stopped by got a quick visit and was surprised to see the artisan relaxing. "It's only 1:30 in the afternoon," he observed, "a little early for a break, isn't it?"
The artisan swallowed a mouthful of lemonade and yawned. "This isn't a break," he said. "I'm done for the day."
His friend, a young marketing executive, was nonplussed: "What do you mean? It's too early in the day to stop. You need to produce more! If you carve more figures, you can make more money. You could even hire an assistant to help you with the business end of things. You could buy new tools. You could buy a shop, so you wouldn't have to carve here at your house.
"Why would I want to do all of that?" the carver asked.
"So you can make more money!" his friend sputtered.
"And what would I do with all that extra money?
"Why --enjoy life, of course!"
The wood carver took another sip of lemonade, leaned back in his chair, and closed his eyes. Before he drifted off for a nap, he mumbled contentedly, "What do you think I'm doing?"

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have.
